Tsinandali Estate Winery

Renowned and historical Georgian winery Tsinandali Estate, offers premium quality wines in limited quantities.  Wine tours, tastings and masterclasses are available for visitors of the winery. Tsinandali Estate is the cradle of classical winemaking of Georgia and it is the place where Georgian wine was first bottled.  Here we continue the 8000-year long tradition of Georgian winemaking while at the same time incorporating the highest standard modern technology. Today this noble tradition continues and ancient Kvevri (clay amphora) and classical European wood barrel wine coexist. Unique vineyard is bordered by canyons and forest creating detached territory with superb terroir planted with 11 Georgian vine species.

In our private wine collection here at Princely Oenotheque, one can find Tsinandali, Saperavi, Chateau Lafitte, Chateau d’Yquem, and other legends of the period starting from 1841.  Saperavi of 1841 and other 19th-century historical vintages are still preserved.
 

Everything Tsinandali Estate utilizes to create its famous produce is tailor-made for the Estate. Alexander Chavchavadze was born 230 years ago in 1786. His legacy as a creator of modern Georgian winemaking lives on and Tsinandali Estate continues to offer the very best of Georgian wines and spirits. Chacha distilling plant ensures a balance between aroma and purity of genuine chacha.
