Nino Kipshidze’s Textile Works Presented at The Telegraph Hotel

Silk Hospitality and Silknet continue to support Georgian artists. As part of this ongoing initiative, a presentation of textile works by Nino Kipshidze was held at The Telegraph Hotel on June 13.

The event took place at the "Network Lounge," a space presented by Silknet, which has been hosting various cultural and professional gatherings over the past several months.

During the meeting, the discussion focused on textile as an independent artistic medium, its historical development, and its role in contemporary contexts. The conversation also explored the approaches and practices that define the importance of textile in contemporary art today.

Special attention was given to the connection between textile, traditional craftsmanship, material culture, and contemporary visual art. The event also introduced Nino Kipshidze's creative practice and working process.

Nino Kipshidze is a Georgian artist whose long-standing practice is based on a dialogue between the historical heritage of textile and contemporary artistic approaches. Her work brings together research, education, and hands-on creative practice.

With the support of Silk Hospitality and Silknet, the works will remain on display at The Telegraph Hotel until the end of July.
