Network Lounge by Silknet Opens at The Telegraph Hotel with Its First Exhibition

The new space at The Telegraph Hotel, Network Lounge by Silknet, has officially opened with its first exhibition, featuring works by Tato Akhalkatsishvili. Designed as a multifunctional venue, the space will host exhibitions and a variety of events, offering guests a dynamic cultural experience.

"The interior, created by Georgian architect Ketuna Kruashvili of NOAstudio, brings together wood and concrete in a way that allows for a wide range of artistic expression. The lounge debuted with Akhalkatsishvili's works, with plans to introduce a series of new and engaging exhibitions in the future." said Mariam Kakabadze, Art Curator at Silk Hospitality.

Tato Akhalkatsishvili was born in Tbilisi in 1979. He graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. Between 2003 and 2007, he lived and worked in Germany. Landscape and its structure have played a defining role in his artistic practice, something he has explored for years. His work often relies on metaphor, reflecting themes that sit at the intersection of personal memory and history. The pieces presented at Network Lounge come directly from his studio and bring together mystical, surreal landscapes with blurred horizons.

"Silk Road Group has always stood out for its support of the arts, and this new space is another example of that, alongside the many large-scale projects the company develops and supports. I'm glad that the opening of this space is marked by my work. Most of the pieces on display were created over the past year, have not been exhibited before and have come directly from my studio to this venue," said Tato Akhalkatsishvili.

The exhibition is presented with the support of Silk Hospitality and Silknet and will remain on display at The Telegraph Hotel until May 19.

"Since opening, The Telegraph Hotel has quickly become a favourite meeting point for both local and international guests. Alongside the culinary experiences we offer, we are committed to bringing cultural moments like this into the space," said Noutsa Ramishvili, General Manager of The Telegraph Hotel.

Silk Hospitality is one of the leading players in Georgia's hospitality industry, bringing together more than 20 properties. The company actively supports cultural and educational initiatives. With its backing, exhibition spaces at Radisson Blu Iveria and Tsinandali Estate host works by well-known Georgian artists throughout the year.
